I have to apologize to everyone for not updating this recentl ! Okay.. more accurately, in the past month. I have been feeling under the weather lately.. and what's worse than not feeling well, is not knowing what the cause is.
Whether it's feeling overwhelmed by all my projects or not eating right, or possibly having reactions to our new cat.. life will just not pass me by while I get better! So, I've went through the checklist and began exercising, making sure I am eating nothing but 'good for me' foods, and not petting the cat so much. I have also discovered that working on the computer for 14 hours a day is playing havoc on the eyes and I now need glasses! lol.. I've also been doing some energy word and vibrational tone work.. and boy can I tell a difference! There's something to be said for raising your vibration levels!
so, if I have to pass on anything to you about getting better..
I would say doing a checklist and adding some activities that will raise your vibrations will be quite worth it!!

Hi Everyone,
Well, this fall is proving to be one full of changes for me. Tarot Reading Site has undergone some renovations. Some changes that you will want to take note, is ...
Prices - While I'm still very competitvely affordable when considering my years of study and practice, with others in the industry.. I have raised my rates slightly after looking over my quarterly papers. This is the first of a two part raise. The next will happen at the beginning of 2010.
$15 / 15min
$ 25/ 30min
$ 50/ 60min
Appointment book - You will be thrilled to know that I now have an integrated appointment book on my website. It's incredibly easy to use, and you can pay after you select a desirable appointment time. It's all in your hands. Instead of waiting for emails to select and figure out a reading time, like other readers do.. you'll find my appointment book easy and pleasurable to book your appointment and pay all in one go, and have the confidence to know that I will call you on time.
Newsletter - If you notice the sidebar, you'll find a big purple box.. you can sign up for my monthly newsletter for free! In every issue, you get something of value. Tarot Trivia, inspirational words, meditative thoughts, or just a look at how to apply the monthly tarot card to your life.. and if that isn't enough, I will also have a coupon in every issue that you can take advantage of to purchase a reading at a discounted rate! So join now.. it's free!
Terms and agreements - Nothing new, but it's rewritten in a more direct manner. Unfortunately, I will have to resort to stricter enforcement of the terms and agreements, so please.. take a moment to read over the terms.
Ebay - Many of you know that I read on Ebay. Ebay was always intended to be a weekly discount. I would offer a certain number at a discounted rate. Unfortunately, through too many complaints at the differences in prices, I will no longer offer Ebay at the discounted rates. I will offer Ebay readings, but at the same price as my website.
Birthdates - If you send me your birthdate, I will send you a one card reading on your birthday.
I hope you all enjoy some of the changes I am making,a nd know that my best interest and integrity is with you.
Blessings,
Chanel
Enlightenment.. What it is..
We tend to perceive enlightenment as something beyond our human capacity. We believe that enlightenment is for ?special? people like Buddha and Jesus. But what if Buddha and Jesus were demonstrating a very real potential, something that was and is attainable for all humans?
The experience of love in everything is a reality; it is just that we have forgotten that reality. As you expand your consciousness and new realizations arise, you will see that your heart is continuously yearning for more and more love-consciousness. Ultimately, it yearns to sit in union.
People often think that to presume or even strive for enlightenment would be arrogant. But enlightenment is neither arrogant nor humble; it is just real. It feels no need to hide behind a mask of false modesty or to try to fit into a preconceived idea of how it is supposed to behave. We often compromise our truth by playing small in order to make others feel better about themselves. We don?t do what we really want to because we are afraid of losing approval, but enlightenment never compromises its own greatness.
Enlightenment is love of self. This has nothing to do with arrogance. We have been taught that loving ourselves is selfish, but if I do not know unconditional love of myself, I cannot extend it to the rest of humanity.
Another commonly held misconception is that enlightenment is a state of disconnection from reality. On the contrary, enlightenment anchors you more than ever in life. When you transcend the fears of the mind, you embrace life with freedom and joy. You become more present, not less. This is the glory of enlightenment: you continue to live the human experience while anchored permanently in the vibration of absolute love.
This is also true of our emotions. We often think that enlightenment is a state of emotional inactivity, but in reality, emotions move much more freely as consciousness expands. We feel every emotion fully, without judgment, just as a child feels. As we burst into unconditional love of self, we embrace the spontaneity that is natural to us.
So why don?t you try to be more in the moment, instead of allowing your mind to circle on past regrets or future dramas? Why don?t you try to find joy and perfection, instead of allowing the critique of the mind to take you constantly to a place of what?s wrong? Why don?t you try to feel exactly what?s going on, instead of masking your true emotions?
Enlightenment is quite simply the state of being one?s true self? and that true self is the love.

Inspired by The Classic Zucchini Cookbook, by Nancy C. Ralston, Marynor Jordan, and Andrea Chesman (Storey Books, 2002).
The secret ingredient that makes this cake so utterly moist and delicious is a secret no longer: yes, the ever-abundant zucchini makes this single-layer cake a real standout. Your friends and family will never know they?re getting a healthy serving of veggies with their dessert; they?ll be too busy experiencing chocolate ecstasy. So if you have an extra zucchini or two hanging around (don?t we all?), this is a wonderfully subversive use for it!
INGREDIENTS
3 ounces good-quality dark chocolate, coarsely chopped
1/4 cup canola oil
1 1/4 cups sifted all-purpose unbleached flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 stick (1/4 cup) butter, softened
3/4 cup organic sugar, or less, according to taste
2 eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 cups grated zucchini or summer squash
1. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 9-inch cake pan and dust with some unsweetened cocoa powder.
2. Melt the chocolate along with the oil in a double boiler or in a saucepan over low heat, taking care not to scorch.
3. Sift together the flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt into a medium mixing bowl.
4. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then beat in the vanilla. Add the flour mixture and buttermilk, beating until combined, then fold in the chocolate and oil mixture, and the zucchini.
5. Scrape the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool the cake in the pan for about 10 minutes on a wire rack, then invert it on the rack, remove the pan, and cool completely.
5. May be served plain, iced with your favorite icing, dusted with organic confectioners? sugar, or with fresh raspberries nestled around it.
Serves 8 to 10.
Tired of that spare tire? Sick of your love handles? You can increase your body?s fat-burning power by eating more foods that strengthen your liver (your body?s main fat-metabolizing organ) to burn fat better. The result? A leaner you! There are many great liver boosting foods, but here are some of my favorites:
Leafy Greens: Spinach, spring mix, mustard greens, and other dark leafy greens are good sources of fibre and powerhouses of nutrition. Research demonstrates that their high concentration of vitamins and antioxidants helps prevent hunger while protecting you from heart disease, cancer, cataracts, and memory loss.
Beans and Legumes: Legumes are the best source of fiber of any foods. They help to stabilize blood sugar while keeping you regular. They are also high in potassium, a critical mineral that reduces dehydration and the risk of high blood pressure and stroke.
Garlic and Onions: This dynamic duo of foods contains phytochemicals that break down fatty deposits in the body, while also breaking down cholesterol; killing viruses, bacteria, and fungi; and protecting against heart disease. With a little help from garlic and onions, you can burn fat while warding off illness.
Cayenne: This hot spice lessens the risk of excess insulin in the body by speeding metabolism and lowering blood glucose (sugar) levels, before the excess insulin can result in fat stores. Spice up your next meal with cayenne and lessen those love handles.
Turmeric: The popular spice used primarily in Indian cooking is one of the highest known sources of beta carotene, the antioxidant that helps protect the liver from free radical damage. Turmeric also helps strengthen your liver while helping your body metabolize fats by decreasing the fat storage rate in liver cells. Add a teaspoon of turmeric into your next curry dish to help your body fight fat.
Cinnamon: Researchers at the United States Department of Agriculture showed that a quarter to one teaspoon of cinnamon with food helps metabolize sugar up to twenty times better than food not eaten with cinnamon. Excess sugar in the blood can lead to fat storage. Before you sip that chai tea latte or eat your oatmeal, sprinkle on the cinnamon.
Flax Seeds and Flax Seed Oil: These seeds and oil attract oil-soluble toxins that become lodged in the fatty tissues of the body. Once attracted, they help to escort fat-soluble toxins out. That spells fewer fat stores and a trimmer you.
